exactly 164 days have passed since we opened registration for the next ITTF World Masters Championships – Rome 2024<\/em><\/strong> and today, with great satisfaction, when there are still more than 7 months left until the start of the event, we can announce that we have sold out all the 6100 places available for athletes!<\/strong><\/p>\n

In just over 5 months<\/strong> your enthusiasm, combined with that of your 6099 table tennis player friends who together with you will have the opportunity to participate in the largest table tennis tournament of all time<\/strong>, have allowed us to achieve an astonishing goal for the entire global table tennis community which, even we on the Organizing Committee, would never have imagined to achieve at the beginning of this challenge.<\/p>\n

6100<\/strong> participants and 102<\/strong> countries represented, over 2500<\/strong> accompanying, 350<\/strong> tables used, around 200<\/strong> referees and umpires, 160<\/strong> volunteers, 40<\/strong> staff people, over 20,000<\/strong> games played, 47,000 sqm<\/strong> of space available for the event, 1 large hospitality area<\/strong>, 1 large fan village<\/strong>: these are the numbers for Rome 2024!<\/p>\n

Therefore, not only a great sport event<\/strong> but, also and above all, the opportunity for a meeting between different peoples and cultures<\/strong> but all united by the love of sport and table tennis<\/strong> in particular!<\/p>\n

From today, therefore, your friends who are not yet registered but would like to participate in the event can regularly register and by doing so they will be automatically included in the “waiting list” <\/strong>(already active) from which they will be drawn<\/strong> whenever new places become available due to cancellation <\/strong>requests that may arrive in the coming months.<\/p>\n

In this regard, I remind you again that athletes on the waiting list who may be accepted for substitutions (via specific communication) will be able to pay their entry fee, no later than the following 72 hours<\/strong>, only and exclusively by credit card <\/strong>as it is necessary to obtain immediate confirmation of acceptance of the place. If payment is not made within the 72 hours the athlete will lose the right to a replacement<\/strong>!<\/p>\n
