the ITTF World Masters Table Tennis Championships – Rome 2024 presented by Stag Global are just around the corner and all the organizing staff can’t wait to welcome you to Rome and live a unique experience with you!
Now, I want to share some new information with you and remind you about other.
1) In order to make your stay in Rome even more safe, the Organizing Committee, gave the assignment to our Broker, MAG SPA to arrange an Insurance Programme tailored to your necessity.
The Programme envisages the possibility to purchase, even separately, an Accident Coverage and a Travel Coverage (Medical Expense Reimbursement and Assistance) for a period of 14 days (from 3 July to 17 July) to cover both the risks related to the goal of the event (Tournament) and the wider risks of the free time spent in Rome. It will also be possible to purchase the insurance policy for your accompanying persons.
Below are the coverage details:
a) PERSONAL ACCIDENT COVERAGE
The policy, provided by Reale Mutua, one of the main insurance companies in Italy, covers you against the risk of injury during your stay in Italy.
The policy cost, for the entire period, is € 20,00.
b) ASSISTANCE AND REIMBURSEMENT OF MEDICAL EXPENSES
The insurance policy, provided by Europe Assistance, is designed to guarantee the main health insurance protection for the player travelling to Italy and provides:
Medical expenses (the coverage or reimbursement of medical/hospital/pharmaceutical expenses that you might incur during the trip due to a sudden unexpected illness or injury).
Assistance in case of illness and/or accident (Medical consultancy; Sending a doctor or an ambulance to Italy; Report from a specialist doctor; Medical return; Return with a family member; Trip of a family member; Accompaniment of minors; Return of the insured convalescent; Extension of stay; Early return)
The policy cost, for the entire period, is € 50,00
c) PURCHASING METHODS
These insurance policies can be purchased through the “MAGASSICURAMI” portal, the MAG platform dedicated to the world of Sports Federations and sporting events, which can be accessed by clicking this link: INSURANCE POLICY. You’ll also find there a GUIDE that will help you in the phases of registration on the portal and purchase of policies.

2) Also, we are happy to be able to present you, in preview, “Rome 2024” official merchandising line created for the event by our partner WINNER ITALIA who will be present with a stand for the entire duration of the event.
However, for those who want to buy, as of now, the official merchandising items of Rome 2024 will be able to do so directly on the website that has been created for the occasion https://memorableshop.it/en/merchandising/eventi/fitet.html . In this case, the merchandise will be delivered to you directly at the time of your accreditation at the Fair
3) The schedule of the first two days of competition (qualifying) has undergone a small change that you can consult by downloading the updated document published on the Roma 2024 website;
4) As you know, registrations for the event have now been definitively closed (with the exception of Para athletes who will have time until May 20th) but it is still possible to reserve some services:
- First of all, I recommend that you don’t miss the Gala Dinner which, as you already know, will have a limited number of participants and will take place on the evening of Wednesday 10 July (day free from competitions) starting at 8 p.m. in a venue with a breathtaking and exclusive view.You will have the chance, in fact, to enjoy an elegant served 4-course dinner in front of the Colosseum and the vestiges of ancient Rome. - Continues the sale on the link https://rome2024.org/en/ticket-office of daily tickets for visitors who want to attend the event only on certain days. Don’t forget, however, that it is not possible to purchase daily tickets for 7 July, the day of the opening ceremony, which can only be attended by those with regular accreditation as a player or companion. Therefore, if you want your friends/relatives to be able to attend the event at any time (including the open ceremony), accredit them as accompanying persons by clicking on this link.
- Don’t miss the chance to participate (yourself or your companions) in the promotional Table Tennis X tournament that will take place at the Main Hall on the afternoon of July 10th. Only two minutes for each set, rackets with the Rome 2024 logo but without rubber, lots of music, fun and .. these are the characteristics of TTX.I remind you that by registering, you will also receive a racket, which will remain yours at the end of the tournament, and that prizes will be awarded to the first 3 classified.For more information on TTX, I invite you to consult the corresponding page of the site from which it will also be possible to download the rules of the game and tournament.

In conclusion, the usual final recommendations:
- remember that at the time of accreditation you will have to present the passport that demonstrates possession of the nationality declared at the time of registration (if you need to change your association please send a request)
- don’t delay in organizing your trip to Rome, hotel places are running out!
