a new goal has been reached! More than 3,000 athletes have registered for the World Masters Table Tennis Championships in Rome 2024. The enthusiasm we sense from everyone is growing and this strengthens the determination of the entire staff to make your trip to Rome ‘special’.
Given the speed with which registrations are taking place, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you once again to urge your friends who have not yet done so, to register for the event to avoid being left out of the 5,000 athletes who will be admitted to Rome.
And now the usual updates…
Good news for those who intend to make the journey with their camper van! It will in fact be possible to park inside the external car park, an area that is however not equipped for any specific service! For those who, on the other hand, want to make use of dedicated services for their motorhomes, it is advisable to get information from the Camping Aurelia Club Roma, which is about 17 km from the Fiera di Roma (the competition venue). Soon, therefore, through the site used for registration, we will also give the possibility of purchasing a parking package for motorhomes, indicating the relative cost.
With regard to daily admission for accompanying minors, the following concessions have been envisaged
– free admission up to the age of 6
– admission with a 50% discount from 7 to 12 years of age.
As far as the programme of the event is concerned, I would like to remind you that a first draft has been published on the Rome 2024 website, but it must be understood as absolutely provisional and subject to change. We hope as soon as possible to confirm the programme or make the necessary changes.
Furthermore, if you are among those who need an entry visa to enter our country, I wanted to inform you immediately that our staff, upon your request and if necessary, is already able to send you an “invitation letter”. However, I want to reassure you that at the same time we are talking to our Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make the release operations by the various diplomatic missions easier and faster.
