  1. ELIGIBILITY
    1. All Para players born in 1984 or earlier are eligible to participate.
    2. Upon the organizers’ request, the participants shall present their passport/ID Cards as proof of age.
    3. To be eligible to participate the “Para players” must have an International classification card.
    4. For players who never competed in ITTF Para events before, there will be classification at the venue 2 days before the beginning of the event
  2. CATEGORIES AND EVENTS
    1. Age Categories and Group Class:
      • 40-85 years and over for wheelchair player (class 1-2);
      • 40-85 years and over for wheelchair player (class 3-5);
      • 40-85 years and over for standing player (class 6-7);
      • 40-85 years and over for standing player (class 8-10).
    2. Each category will have the following events:
      • Men’s Singles
      • Men’s Double
      • Women’s Singles
      • Women’s Double
      – Mixed Double
    3. If there are less than 5 players or pairs entered in any of the events, the ITTF shall have the right to cancel the said event or combine with the upper group class.
  3. ENTRIES
    1. Entries shall be made using the WMC online entry system.
    2. There shall be no refund of entry fees paid in case of withdrawal, during the 4 weeks immediately before the championships.
    3. Every entered player shall accept responsibility for his/her health condition and for his/her participation.
    4. Neither the ITTF nor the Organizing Association can be made responsible for an accident, loss or any other incident which might occur.
    5. For participation of new players in a tournament, the participant player before to register in the WMC online entry system must firstly send a scanned copy of their passport to ITTF together with player’s personal details. Then the player will receive an ID number from ITTF. This ID number will be used in the entry. These players will be classified according to “ITTF classification’s rules”;
    6. Final entry must include the player Date of Birth, without it the entry will not be accepted;
  4. THE DRAW
    1. The draw for the qualifying groups shall take place as soon as the classification results are available.
    2. The draws for the Word Master title events and for the consolation events will take place in every category immediately after completion of the qualifying matches of the corresponding events.
    3. Seeding will be made on the basis of seeding lists set up in cooperation between representatives of the Ranking, Para and Masters Committees.
    4. For all competitions, the latest world ranking list published on the 1st day of each month or as soon as possible thereafter will be used for seeding.
  5. SYSTEM OF PLAY
    1. Each singles event shall be played in 2 stages.
    2. In the first stage there will be qualifying groups of 3 or 4 players, depending of the number of entries. If there are 5 players in an event, the event will be played in one group of 5 players. In a group 2 match points shall be awarded for a win, 1 for a loss in a played match and o for a loss in a not played or unfinished match, and the ranking order shall be determined primarily by the numbers of match points gained.
    3. If 2 or more participants have gained the same number of match points, their relative positions shall be determined by the results only of matches between them, taking successively the numbers of match points and the ratios of wins to losses in games and then in points, as far as it is necessary to determine the order.
    4. If after any step the positions of one or more participants have been determined while others are still equal, the results of matches in which those participants took part shall be excluded from any further calculations needed to resolve the equalities in accordance with the procedure of ITTF Regulation.
    5. If 2 or more participants have gained the same number of match points and have the same ratios of wins to losses in games and points, their relative positions shall be decided by lot.
      In the second stage, players having finished first or second in their group, will qualify for the Para World Masters title events. Players having finished third or fourth in their group, will be entitled to play in the corresponding consolation events. Both competitions shall be played on a knock-out basis.
    6. Players having finished in position 2 of their initial group will be drawn in opposite half to the players having finished in position 1 of the same group; in the same way players having finished in position 4 will be drawn in the opposite half to players having finished in position 3 of the same group.
    7. If the number of players in an event is 5 or less, a second stage will not be played and the winner of the group will be the Para Masters Champion in this event.
    8. A player may only play in the group class related to his/her international classification card unless, due to the low number of players, his/her class is combined with the upper group class. The opposite is not allowed.
    9. The playing space shall not be less than 10 m long, 5 m wide and 4 m high.
    10. All matches shall be determined by the best of 5 games.
    11. Each player is entitled to a 15 minutes rest between 2 matches.
  6. CEREMONIES/PRIZES
    1. Medals shall be presented by representatives of the ITTF and of the organizing Association to the winners, runners-up and losing semi- finalists of all title events and to the winners and runners-up in the consolation events.
